Reunion

This is our friend, and neighbor Terri Vruggink. Last week she travelled to Haiti with a local non-profit to photograph and document the work they were doing. All that changed on Tuesday when the earthquake happened. Needless to say it made for a harrowing week. She arrived back here in Grand Rapids around 6pm last night. Her house was packed full with all of her friends & family by 6:30.

Older: Snowcross

I raced my first bike race of the season. A cyclo-cross race on an apple orchard (Versluis for those in West Michigan) It’s the earliest I’ve ever raced so I wasn’t quite sure what 60 minutes of snow, ice, and mud would bring. I crashed (more than once), broke my pedal, got really muddy and my bike needed to be power washed. Pretty much a perfect day.

Newer: Cameron

It came to my attention the majority of pictures I post are of Luke. The thing is he likes the camera and he’s really interested in what I’m doing. Cameron is far more cerebral about the whole thing. So I dug into the archives to find a picture of the elusive first child.
