One is off to middle school for 6th grade while the other is off to 3rd. Easy to tell by the way the wear their backpacks. However Cam is walking like he’s going to college.

Chicken tastes better when you cook it standing up.

I’ve seen that look before. It happens right before….zzzzzzzzz.

We spent the afternoon at the Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. It’s such a great place to walk around and it seems every picture you take is perfect. This is just plain funny.

The boys and I met our neighbor for a tour of the new single stream recycling center. It was a fun tour, and Steve clearly likes his job. I’m pretty sure he drives all the trucks at least once a day. I know I would.

Doesn’t take much to make him happy.

Grand Haven is always packed during the summer. Today, not so much, and clearly a sign that September 1st is the start of fall.

Rocket football is now in full swing now with pads and contact. The field where Cam practices has 6 teams on it and they are all from the same school district. East loves it some football.

I figured it would be nice to end my sister’s visit with a picture of her and our mom. awwww

We have been pretty lucky to have my sister in town. Cam thinks she’s a rock star.
