Christmas Eve
Luke was pretty excited to win.
From the archives: While the winter has been mild looking back at this pics from the past summer makes me wish it was warm again.
The boys like online computer games as much as console games (Wii/Xbox). A friend today asked what they played and he got an earful. He told them they should make a blog about kids games so his kids will know what what games to play. So they did and wrote 5 reviews. Check it out at http://brothersreview.wordpress.com/
It’s been 6 months since Steph has picked up the cello. I’m going to have to record video of her playing next for the full effect.
Trying to pack the 7th grade choir, orchestra and band concerts into 1 hour takes some coordination and luck. No surprise it took longer than an hour.
It’s going to be hard not to dip into the photo archives on some days. There is a lot of good stuff in there.
Steph makes the boys’ school lunches everyday. However some days their lunch bags come back full, which does not make a Mom happy. It’s not like they don’t like the food she makes. It’s just they are spending their time talking and not eating. He got quite a lecture and I got a great shot.
Luke’s been reading and I think he’s working my next shot.
We don’t hold a lot of company events but when there is food involved the turnout is great.
I had another picture for today but when Bryan called and said he wanted to drop off a present my picture for today changed. Not that I’m a big whiskey drinker but that’s the challenge of posting just 1 picture a day. It’s not taking the pictures that’s hard it’s choosing the right one to post.
After a 1-year hiatus Project 365 returns. Thanks to all those who encouraged me to fire the blog back up. So, no better way to celebrate my birthday than with a 43-candle fire hazard. Made for a great picture.
Mission accomplished: 365 pictures posted. Not the easiest but pretty worthwhile and I learned a lot. The biggest surprise? 1,374 unique visitors. Which is about 1,373 more than I thought would look at my pictures. Very cool.
While it looks like he’s playing “Gears of War” he’s actually playing Timez Attack. A math game within a video game. It would be easy to roll your eyes at at a ‘learning’ video game but the results are astounding. You should see him rub his hands together and “get to work”
As a former horn player this makes me really happy to watch and listen Cam learn to play.
Poor Farmer he lost a bet and had to ride to the entire 60 minutes without a saddle. Remarkably he still beat 14 guys.
Unlike last year there was no mud but we had some really good racing thanks to Brad White, Michael Wissink and Tom Burke (just out of the picture) those guys clearly made it hard on everyone else and made me really happy I choose not to race
East Grand Rapids high school played in it’s 5th State Championship game in a row and won. It’s a remarkable feat that only one other school in Michigan has accomplished. The community support is just as remarkable and it seemed like the entire town was at the game last night. Love this town.
